What Have I been Up to Lately

Hello again! I have been quite busy behind the scenes, writing of course. But I have also been updating a few things as well. Before we get to all of that, I wanted to inform you all that there are now editions, or rather updates made to the ebooks My Grandmother is Missing and Poems in a Milk Bottle.

In both of these ebooks, they first have new covers, which are down below:

My Grandmother Cover-page-001          Poems in a milk bottle cover-page-001

There are many reasons why I changed the book covers for these two works, but first and for most the original covers were not doing it for me. So they needed to be changed.

The other changes that made to these works, was by putting them under their imprints, such as My Grandmother is Missing has been published under both Moonspinner3 Books and Black Knife Mysteries and Thrillers Press. As for Poems in a Milk Bottle, I only published it under Moonspinner3 Books.

Besides all these make up changes, I have updated the story to My Grandmother is Missing, so that it more considered a short story piece than that of a flash fiction piece. I wanted to make this change, because first and fore most I felt the story was not really complete enough, and I wanted to add in some details, so that I was a stronger piece.

As for Poems in a Milk Bottle,  I made more formatting changes to the collection. However, in view of these changes, I have also made them look more professional, such as adding both front and back matter to the book.

So what is next for me…well, I am currently working on The Raven Prophecy and I will be making similar changes to the Sheriff Crimson stories that I have already released.

I hope that you will stay tune to those changes, and I will let you all know when they are available. But as of right now both, My Grandmother is Missing and Poems in a Milk Bottle are both available for release.

I hope that you all have a happy writing day!

Update at Faerie Rose Press

Every once a while, I like to give an update on how things are going at Faerie Rose Press, so here is the newest update.

Earlier, this month I gave an update on the Raven Prophecy, which is still going well. Currently the story is moving along and I’m still adding elements to the latest first draft of the book. As for the Ravages of Time, I have put that one down for a while as I work on the Raven Prophecy. My current goal right now for the Raven Prophecy is get the first 100 or so pages completed.

I have just add a list of the services that Faerie Rose Press is starting to provide. This is a promise if you will to our commintment to helping writers with their writing as they find their writer’s journey. Also I have added as part of the commintment, three new sections this month: Writer’s First Source, Book Reviews, and Movie Reviews. Right now I have five or so sections under Writer’s First Source.

I have been working on Faerie Rose Press’s Facebook page, which is more the most part where I would like it to be. Granted, I’m adding information here and there, if you would like go check it out and don’t forget to like. My Facebook Author page is still a work in progress, which is where I’m posting some things but not as much as on the other page. Twitter is going strong. I still need to work on Youtube and Instagram.

But for the most part things are moving along here at Faerie Rose Press. Also this month I published a flash fiction piece on Amazon’s Kindle, called “My Grandmother is Missing,” and a poetry collection called, “Poems in a Milk Bottle,” where it is also available on Amazon’s Kindle.

NaNoWriMo was this month, and granted I didn’t really work on my piece of it as much as I should have, but it is also a slow project, so that I why I put a main focus on the Raven Prophecy. So in the next couple of days NaNoWriMo is coming to a close and that means for those that participated they can either start editing or they can take a month off before they edit. But here at Faerie Rose Press will be doing neither as we will be writing and hopefully helping those with editing or proofreading their work.

November was a busy month, and December will be just as busy with the holidays coming up and all the gatherings. I hope that you have enjoyed this update on Faerie Rose Press.

Today is going to be Great!

Today, so far is getting off to a good start. I have already have 12 views on this site. I would like to thank everyone who has stopped by either for the first time or if you are returning. I also have had three people pick up their free ebook of “My Grandmother is Missing.”

Speaking of the ebook, it will be available starting today and going through Saturday for free. After that it will be available for $.99. I just feel so happy right now that everything is going on track.

Now let’s talk in terms of writing, which will be about everyone has a story. This story can be either about what is going on with you personally, or what you bring to your works of fiction. Whatever that part is there is a story there that is waiting to released. This story can also be reflected or be apart of your writer’s journey. Yes, I’m going back to the writer’s journey, for some aspect in your life contributed to you wanting or having the desire to write. As I mentioned in my post on the writer’s journey, I just felt this desire to tell stories and I loved how stories work. As I have grown, more about what I love about story has come across in my writing. This could be how you make that daring twist with your characters. Making your characters interact. How you even build your story world. Now mater what you learn about writing from others, that part you can take and make part of your writing.

The only part about that is that you may fall the first time but that is where you learn and you take it out back somewhere and work with it. This is were tweaking comes into your arsenal. However, you have to decied on a given day what you want from your writing and where you want to take your writing. This is where you can make your goals and strive to make those goals happen for you. This is also where you can grow as a writer.

The more you grow as a writer, the more that you can see things happen for you. One way for me that I see that is that I never dreamed what when I started Faerie Rose Press, that I would have the courage to try to publish my flash fiction on amazon, for I was only thinking about my larger projects like my novel. I never thought that I would get as many views as I have on here, let alone my Facebook page. The point is that I’m growing and looking down at the road and seeing endless possiblilities and that means that I can share more with all of you about where you can see your writing journey might take you. I hope that you are seeing your writer’s journey and saying that I can do what I want with it. Granted, not everything will work, but when it does you can see the magic. Magic is beautiful, and daring but above all it let’s us see things differently. It also lets us see the confidence in what we can do.

We can all be successful in your writing and the careers that we want in our writing. I hope that you can see what you want out of your writing. But strive forth and watch as your creativity bloom and grow.

I hope that this has been helpful today, and I hope that you will like what you have heard.

My First Flash Fiction Piece is…

So I published my first flash fiction piece for Amazon Kindle. The piece is also availalbe on the here under the short stories section. On the website I called it “You Should Have,” but I have titled the e-book version as “My Grandmother is Missing.” You can get it for free on Kindle unlimited or you can purchase it for $.99.

I have published it under Elderwood Publications since it really is not a fantasy piece of fiction. I hope that you all will check it out and rate it. I wanted to see how it would work, before I really started publishing my bigger works of fiction on Amazon.
