Updates for the Month of March

Hello and welcome back! It’s the end of March, means that for this post I’m doing my monthly update and what to look forward to next month.

I hope that you and your families are healthy and safe. I can say at this point that my family, my boyfriend, his family, and me are all happy and safe at this time. We are following the guidelines that the government has imposed on us all. As far as my work life goes, I was working for an essential business, i.e. a liquor store up until yesterday, because I will be starting another job on Monday, working for a company that I had worked for before, so I have that going for me.

As far as Moonspinner3 Books is concerned, I’m still working on my projects and working on content in the meantime. As for my goal of re-working and re-publishing works that I had published in the past, that goal has been met. Yes, you can now get the updated version of Crimson Protection, the third installment of the Sheriff Crimson Series on Amazon.

So with the completion and the republication of Crimson Projection, the following have been re-worked and re-published with new covers:

Booksv2-page-001

I am so happy with myself for getting goal completed, and on that high note, I have to tell you of my next upcoming work that I am currently working on to be published. This work is titled, The Eighth Dwarf. The Eighth Dwarf, is a take on the telling on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, so yes, it is a fan-fiction.

Here is the cover The Eighth Dwarf:

Eighth Dwarf Cover v3-page-001

The Eighth Dwarf, is a fantasy short fiction piece, that will be published for Amazon in the near future, as soon as the re-write, the second round of edits, and so forth as is my process. Originally, The Eighth Dwarf, was written when I was in my senior of high school for a creative writing class, and so it was one of those pieces that I adore and cherish, and I hope that you will enjoy it as well, when it becomes available.

So what comes after The Eighth Dwarf? Well, I’m still working on figuring out what my next work in progress will be, since I can go one of two ways, I can either work on the fourth installment of The Sheriff Crimson Series, which is titled Crimson Soldier. Yes, there is a cover for that as well:

crimson soldier cover-page-001

So either I can work on Crimson Soldier, or I can work on one of the other projects that I have sitting on a shelf currently. But whatever the project is, I will certainly post the update of what I’m going to be working on as soon as The Eighth Dwarf is completed. See, I am getting better on working on one project at a time versus having lots of projects going on.

The other thing that I am currently working, that is for my business, I getting all of my pieces that I have written in the past in one central location so that I can find them and work on them as time goes, and as long as we are all home-bound, that too gives me loads of time to work on my writing and focusing on my goal.

Well, until next month, I hope that you and your families stay safe and healthy. I want to thank you, for all of your continued support. Until next time, I hope that you have a happy writing day! Keep writing and keep creating!

Updates to Moonspinner3 Books

Hello and welcome to Moonspinner3 Books! Yes, I have made some changes to the site. One of the reasons why I made the current change to the site, is that I wanted it look new and fresh. This look makes it very clear that this is site is about the business of writing.

While the site has changed, the content that will appear on this site, will be the same good writing focused blogs that have been always appeared on this site.

On that note, let’s get down to business!

Publishing Anyone?

Last time, that I was on here I talked about the recent publication of Crimson Bounty, and that is not the only piece that has been published. The recent version of Crimson Shot has also been published, and is available on Amazon.

So in total, my goal of getting all of what I have published before, being updated! I have one more to go and that is Crimson Protection, which is my current project that I will hopefully be starting later to day.

But in case you are wondering her all of the works that I have currently published and they are all available on Amazon:

Books-page-001

What Else is Going on?

Along with working on updating the works that I have previously published, I have also been working on getting my other writing projects organized. That way I have a clear focus on what my next projects that I want to focus my time and attention on.

Most of the work, will be completed after Crimson Protection is completed, hopefully that will be completed later this month, so that I can work on the other projects that I want to get off the ground and running.

This means that there is more short fiction pieces to be written, edited and published. This also means some of my larger pieces to the worked on as well. But as of right now, I’m working on one project at a time so that I don’t get scattered on trying to work on several projects at once.

Anything Else?

Yes, there is one more thing. The other day, after I finished the edits for Crimson Shot, I also started the revamp work on the newest cover for Crimson Protection and here it is:

On that note, I hope that you will continue to support this site as there is much more to come.

Thank you, and until next time I hope that you have a great writing day!

2020 is here and where is this year going?

Hello and we have made it 2020! Boy did 2019 fly buy and this year, I’m hoping to do better than last year. Last year was crazy with lots of changes to my life and as much as I tried to make writing and my business a priority, I really didn’t. I will admit that I failed last year, and I am hoping that this year is going to better.

I’ve already decided that I”m not going to make as many changes to my business’s appearance as I have done in the past. Therefore, what is out there on the heading will stay. I think that is where I lost some of my focus by trying to cover every part of fiction by having this imprint and that imprint. But I think that also this focus on having the different imprints I also because of some of the advice that I have been given.

See as writers, we are often told, that if you are going to write in different genres that you have to have a different pen name and sometimes you have to sign with different publishers. Well, as much as this might be common practice, it is probably not is best. I mean look at some known writers that have written in different genres they still use their name. The authors that I’m talking about is Stephen King. Granted, Nora Roberts uses a pen name when she switches from romance to mystery and thriller to a pen name, I think that its harder for your readers to follow a writer.

Granted, I will admit that some readers may not like romance or fantasy, but if their author is dipping their toes in that part of the water, than maybe their preferences might follow where their authors are going. Maybe I’m wrong, but in some ways, or in a lot of ways the madness of trying to please or change when your mind wants to try something new is just flat out crazy.

I’ve already decided that last year, I would not be using several pen names based on genres that I’m writing, but would rather use one name for all of my works. So maybe I need to do the same thing with by publishing business as well? Sorry, no, that’s not going to happen. I’m keeping off the imprints and not creating anymore.

Yes, last year I was away a lot and that was hard. I think that in someways my craft suffered for it, and I really didn’t put out anything new. I just worked on updating previously published works, and I’m still working on that. But I’ve also decided that this year, I’m going to dedicate my time to one project at a time, instead of switching back and worth between projects.

Previously, I’ve made a point of stating that I’m working on said project, and then I get to a point and switch to another project. No more of that, at least I can try. This year, I want to start something and complete it to the end. Granted, right now, I’m busy working on updating the first of the Sheriff John Crimson Stories, Crimson Bounty. Once that is completed then I will work on the second and then the third. Once those are completed we will see where this year really takes off.

I want to thank all of you that have stayed with me, through out my few years of growth on this site and for following everything that I am working on to see where the future will go.

I want this year, to be the better than last year and I want to really focus on my craft and get organized, which I will probably talk more about later.

I am in the process of working on things to build upon and to discuss.

I will leave you there. Happy New Year, my friends. I hope that you all have a great writing day.

Happy New Year!!! Welcome to 2019!!!

Yes, there are many that have probably have started their first blogs of 2019 with this sentiment, and I am no exception. Let’s praise something that 2018 is over (finally). Now we can start to get to the things that we want to do in 2019, which I have mentioned in several posts that I have many things that I want to accomplish in this new year.

First of all, let me discuss one of my biggest goals is to work on one project at a time. Yes, if you were with me last year, you saw that I was working on either too many projects at a time or I was jumping from project to project without finishing one. Shame on me. This year, however, one of my biggest goals is to work on one project at a time and see it from start to finish. The first of these projects is Ravages of Time.

In case you are not aware, Ravages of Time, is one of the first novel projects that I took on in my first attempt at NaNoWriMo, back a few years ago. While it is a completed first draft, I want to get it to the phase to where I can get it published. I have designed three covers for this book, two that are really similar to one another and the third is like a complete overhaul on the cover design. Here are all three covers displayed together:Ravages of Time Covers-page-001

So that is what I am working on as far as bigger projects go. As for a small one, yes, I’m taking on a small one at the same time. Granted, this goes against the one project at a time thing, but I feel that this project needs to be done for it is somewhat bugging me. Remember, we writers tend to be perfectionists. Especially when we learn something new and want to go back and fix things that we might not like with something that we may have completed in the past.

This one project, is redesigning the cover for Poems in a Milk Bottle, my poetry collection. Yes, the poetry collection is already out there, on Amazon, in publication. However, there are a couple of things that have bothered with me with the publication of the collection. For starters there is the cover. Granted, the original cover was put together and designed when I did not know much about cover design, and most recently I redesigned the cover (I will display them down below). The second thing is when I look at the design for the poetry collection a whole, i feel that it was a bit rushed in places, so I want to go back and fix those things, so that I can republish it this year. So that is a small project that I am taking on. Here are the covers as promised, before I go into describing why I am taking on this project:

Poems in a milk bottle covers-page-001

One of the main reasons, why I am going to republish my poetry collection, is because in one year I have learned a lot about putting a book together and I want to make things better. I also learned that I can re-do things, such as unpublish and republish works. I want to expand on what I know and at least try to make things better than they were before. I know that this is a huge undertaking in itself, but I feel that I can do it. So when the updated version of Poems in a Milk Bottle is available, I will let you all know. I also feel that the difference in the cover design is a step up from what it was before.

Another thing that I said that I was going to do in this coming year, is read more than what I did last year. Yeah, I did not read much last year, which I know I should be a shamed of myself. However, instead of reading I was writing, but on the other hand I know that in order to improve upon my craft I need to read more. Therefore, the first book that I am undertaking to read in 2019, is Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn.

Well this is the start of what I have going on in 2019. I hope that your 2019 is getting started where you want it to be. I hope that you have a Happy New Year! I also hope that you have a great writing day! Happy Writing, Happy Creating until next time!

More goals for Next Year…Writer’s First Source

Sorry, that I have not been on as of late for I have been very busy getting ready for Christmas, which means that I have not been writing either. This in my view has been not an easy thing. Especially when I really love to write as well as giving all of you new posts on here. But when it comes to the full swing of the holidays, I think that it is the number one reason why I a lot of writers do not take the time to write in the month of December. Although, December is a break from writing and I have not been doing it as much as I like, I have been looking at things for next year.

Yes, next year will be soon upon us and while I have already stated some of my goals for next year. I also have come up with another goal, which is to try to reinstate Writer’s First Source. Writer’s First Source is a topic area, where I would post different tools that could be used for writing, or objectives that should be used during one’s writing session. In view of this goal that I have for this site next year, I created a for real logo for Writer’s First Source. Here it is:

Writersfirstsourcelogo2-page-001

My idea for next year is that when it comes to Writer’s First Source is that any time I have one of these topics come up on this site, I will use the logo so that it can be used to indicate that it is a Writer’s First Source topic. Now as you might have noticed, it has not yet been added to the header and that is because I’m deciding where to put it. I could put in middle square, which is currently vacant or I could put it on the bottom on either side of my portrait. I’m still trying to figure out placing. If you have a suggestion, please, comment down below on this post.

I hope that you will tune in next year, for all the exciting posts that I have planned for Writer’s First Source and in general for this site. One thing that I currently have in the works is making a post schedule so that I can stay on top of the information that I want to share will all of you. One thing I know for sure that I want to discuss is not only about working on writing but also building your brand and getting readership. This topic has many different avenues but I thought that it would be a fun topic to branch into next year. Therefore, I would like to talk about writership as well as brandship. Yes, I know that these are not words but it is the best way to describe the focus points that I think are important going into next year.

One thing that I have mentioned in my earlier post is that I want to read more next year, so look forward to book reviews, as well as what key take aways that we as writers can take from the readings. Remember that anytime we read a novel, we are studying an aspect of our craft. Also I will post movie reviews as well as focus points that we can gain from watching certain television shows, which are things that I have posted on this site before.

So in other words, I’m looking forward to sharing information with all of you next year, and I hope that you will all come back in the new year for the information or rather advice that I have to share will all of you. As always I want to thank all of you for your continuing support and coming back for more.

Thank you as always and I hope that you have a great writing day!

Next Year is almost upon Us

Amy Brown

It seems like if you look at a number of authors on Youtube, they are either talking about their last-minute writing goals for this year, they are looking back at the year that has been, or they are looking forward to all the things that they want to accomplish in the next year, I am no exception to this.

This year has been a number of things for me in terms of writing as well as personal. But I would rather not go through the long list of those things, because some of them are still hard to understand what happened. But in terms of writing, it has been a year of that for me. Granted, I did not publish as much as I had hoped to do. However, on the other hand, I did work on foundations in some of my stories, this included The Raven Prophecy, The Zodiac Tower, and Ravages of Time.

Therefore, I am going to take the time to reflect that this year, in terms of my writing was a year of growth. I focused on building images upon the page with words. I also learned a great deal about how to take my writing up a notch, which I have in turn paid it forward by sharing it will all of you. Sharing with all you has been a goal of mine from the start of this site, and that always makes me happy that I am able to share with all of you something new about the craft of writing.

While I have been sharing goodness about the world of writing, there are others out there that tried to strike a nerve within the community by trying to bring down their fellow authors down. This has left a dark mark on your community as a whole, and I hope that we in the new year can see that this trend or behavior make its way down a really dark hole, just let’s watch out for Alice as she makes her way down that same hole. But let’s also leave this darkness in the past shall we and make 2019 a year of rebuilding our community by supporting each other and trying to ruin others by copyrighting words, titles and other just items that are used to make our writings and our projects matter.

In other words, let us all get along and get back our job of writing without the added stress that comes from our community. We all have a common gift and we want to share our gift with readers. That should be our main focus and not coming after others within our treasured community.

Speaking of community, the community of Faerie Rose Press has grown, for this site now has over 125 followers. Let me put this on the record, that I appreciate all of you that continue to tune in for new content that I post, and this goes without saying it does not matter if this is the first time that you are visiting my site or the hundredth, it is appreciated. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, thank you and I hope that you will come back next year for new content.

On that note, let me get into what I want to accomplish next year. There are a number of things I would like to make a reality next year. The first of which is telling more stories, whether they be short or novel size. I really want to get more written, edited and published. I also want to share more stories about things will all of you on here as well, such as the stories behind some of my writings. This has been a real struggle for me since sometimes writing can be personal, but on the other hand, how can I inspire others, if I do not share. This is a real matter that has come to pass for me from time to time. But never fear, I will give it a try as I accept the challenge. This is what I have in mind so far in the back of my mind, as items that I want to accomplish next year.

That goes without saying that the first project that I have in mind to get to a second draft at the very least is Ravages of Time. Ravages of Time, like so many of my projects, as somewhat taken a back seat to others, but I’m going to try and work on one project at a time. This means for me starting one project and seeing it through until it is done or rather completed in its published form. Ravages of Time is the first of these beauties on the list, so look forward to many posts as I talk about my progress on Ravages of Time.

Lastly, my other goal for next year is to read a lot more than I did this past year. Yes, I did not do a good job of following up on my reading list and I have plenty to read. Therefore, I plan to read a bit more than this year and so look forward to seeing posts on what I am reading and I hope to stay on task on that as well. But we shall see.

However, will all of this in mind, I am hoping that next year is a better year all the way around. I will close this post by saying, I hope that all of you are enjoying this holiday season and I wish all of you a Happy New Year. But just to let you know, this year has not come to a close and either has Faerie Rose Press, for there is still much to post throughout the rest of this year.

I hope all of you have a happy writing day as you create worlds with your words. Have a great day!blog header 4-page-001

Updates for the Month of November

I can’t believe that November is almost over, like in two days. This month has been extremely busy with NaNoWriMo, getting ready for Thanksgiving, and of course may the shopping season begin. In the mean time, there are still things happening right here at Faerie Rose Press, this includes making plans for next year. Yes, 2018 is almost over and 2019 will be coming soon upon us. Before, we get to what is in store for next year, let me get into what has been going on this past month.

Let’s start with NaNoWriMo. This month, I started work on the first draft of The Bird that Sings. This draft is going so well, that I’m still working on it. Let me define this statement by saying that while I didn’t reach the goal of 50 thousand words, I did however, get to a point in the draft where I’m going to stay that it is a work in progress. Yes, it will be put on the shelf of projects to be worked on but it will not be so far on the shelf that it gets ignored. There are other children that have asked for my undivided attention. One of those children is Ravages of Time. Let me preview this conversation about Ravages of Time with it’s in the plan for next year.

However, about Ravages of Time, while it quietly sat on the table going, “Hello over here have you forgotten about?” The answer is now, I have not forgotten about Ravages of Time, not per say, it is just that other projects came along that gained me attention, such as The Bird that Sings and The Raven Prophecy to name a few. This can be a real problem having so many writing projects sitting on the shelves calling out for attention. That as part of next year’s plan, I really plan on working one project a time and seeing it through. This is where Ravages of Time comes in. While The Raven Prophecy has been a work in progress for the last fifteen years, I feel that since Ravages of Time has been calling out the loudest to me, I thought that I would see to it’s final stages. This means getting a second draft written, and hopefully get it published next year.

See, I’m working on sticking with goals. One way that I am seeing this through is by making another cover for Ravages of Time. Yes, I have made previous covers for Ravages of Time, but this one is the most suitable cover, in my opinion for the piece. This cover is more mature and gives a more complete feel for the story that is going to behind the front cover.  If you need a reminder of the previous two covers here they are:

Ravages of Time-2-page-001 Ravages of Time cover2-page-001

While I kept the house as the center point of both of these covers with time being a secondary theme of the cover. One is plainly in cover, while the second is in black and white. The clocks at the bottom on the second one are somewhat smudged out to give the feel that time can get fuzzy as time goes on. While the first one, is actually my first attempt of making a cover and I feel that it’s time has passed and is no longer needed. The second one, while it gives more of a setup for the book it still does not convey the message, or rather the tone that I want to give for the book. This third cover, sets out to do exactly that and that is set the tone. Without further ado, here is the third front cover for Ravages of Time…

Ravages of Time cover5-page-001 (1)

This cover still has the house being the center point, and the clocks are really taken a back stage. When you look at the cover, it gives the impression of a picture frame around the house. I have changed the colors on the house to give it a more older feeling.

Of of my goals this year is give more of a story vibe when I describe how things have come to me, as far as writing projects, as well as the covers that I make for my work. In the past, on this site, I have posted up a new cover without going into detail which on my part is bad. As writers we should be story tellers, and on this I want to work on this piece of what I want to convey on this site, which means telling the story. Therefore, let me give you the story of how this version of the cover came to be.

I was driving in my car at night, through Longmont, Colorado when out of nowhere Ravages of Time called into my brain. I had the previous cover in mind, but then something was like wait a minute, it can use a different cover. Granted, the funny thing that came first to me was the clocks, such as the clocks were going to be used as border around the image of the house. Therefore, the second thing that came to mind was the house, which is so funny for when I first made the cover for Ravages of Time, the house was the first thing to come to mind. However, that was not he case this time, for it was the clocks. However, when the image of the house came to mind, I wanted to make it look older and more worn down then the previous versions. However, I was like that’s perfect, but instead of going to my computer straight away to work on it. I sat with this image in my head for a week. Yes, this image was coming to me for a whole week, when I was intensely working on The Bird that Sings. Then last Saturday, I had enough of this image coming to me and being like: Hey, I gave you a fricking gift what are you going to do with it? Therefore, I sat with my computer and I worked and configured with cover for four hours. Yes, that’s right, four hours! Let me just say that it was the best four hours that I have spent working on this cover, that is not to say that I rushed the previous covers but this cover I wanted it done right. I didn’t want it rushed. I wanted to take my time to work on it and to make it as perfect as I could possibly make it.

Granted, I have been sitting on it for the last few days keeping it to myself, but I guess that is also my proactive as a writer and as a creator. I can keep things to myself until I’m ready to send it out into the world.

Therefore, next month one of my goals is to start the ground work of getting my area completely ready to work on Ravages of Time. Yes, while others take December to recoup from NaNoWriMo and gear up for the holidays, I’m going to be digging deep into Ravages of Time. This of course is my decision. Part of it is also that it can get the attention that it feels that it deserves and oh will it get it.

On a final note, I want to thank everyone is currently following this site. Let me announce that currently, there is a 120 followers and growing. Thank you, thank you to everyone that has followed this site, for your support means the world to me.

Also I want to say, that in the month of December, I will be posting new content as well as my list of Top Ten gifts for Writers, which is a continuation from last year’s post on, Christmas gifts for your writer friends.

That is all that I currently have to say in this update post. I hope that you all of a great writing day! Happy creating!

Trying to Ignore Certain Drama

I recently talked about tips that I have for writing, let alone that I use for NaNoWriMo and any writing project that I have. While this is all good that I like to share some out of the box ideas, which are different from other writers in the community. If you look up any writer or author on YouTube, you will find that they pretty much share the same general information. Granted, they do diverse from time to time talking about their projects but when they give tips its the same for the most part.

In some ways I feel that when the events of the summer took place, ie #cockygate, I thought that these same authors would have gone over this topic or give their opinion. But they didn’t. I really want to say shame on them, but on the other hand I understand why the probably didn’t and it could have been because they didn’t want to deal with the drama.

Let’s face it, in the real world outside of our writing or story worlds, there is a lot of ugly, disgusting drama. This is mainly political but it’s also that time of year when we want to be over the drama. But let’s face it the drama llama is going to be around for a while and it doesn’t matter, who is charge of a certain house or the majority. This is going to be the world that we have to deal with for quite a while.

dramallama

Yes, I certainly pulled out the drama llama.

But with all the drama going on, it is certainly one of the reasons why I’m so excited for NaNoWriMo to becoming, for it gives an escape from the drama and allow us to melt into our words so that we can further tell the stories that we want to tell.

I have mentioned on here before that it is not only our readers that need a chance to escape but we as writers need to escape as well. Granted we have multiple job responsibilities as writers, and one of those is to take of ourselves. This means body, soul, and mind.

It might sound cliche but as I said yesterday, if we don’t take care of ourselves as the writer then we cannot put our best words to the page. Also we don’t put words down one the page then we cannot entertain our audience past the first page. If we cannot carry the story past the first page then there is no use in writing fifty thousand words or more since we are not taking care of us.

So the question that I want to put out to you is give the drama llama the ugly boot and show them the door and to limit the drama that are outside forces that will keep you from writing what you want you want or have the will to write. If you need to print out the drama llama and post it somewhere so that it’s a reminder that you want to focus on the good stuff and not the bad stuff.

I hope that you have found this post helpful on this writing day!

It’s February….

Well, we made it through the first month of 2018. Now we are into the second month, which is also a busy month. It’s Black History Month, Women’s Heart Health Month (Wear Red tomorrow), it’s also when we celebrate Valentine’s Day, which means that it is also romance reading month. Yes, that means that we can dive into the one of the most successful, if not popular genres of fiction, Romance.

s-l300 (2)Yes, I know that I like to write fantasy, but I also like a good romance novel too. The romance genre has hundreds if not thousands of titles published each year, and the genre of romance is banking in that ole mighty dollar. There is something to be said about the romance genre, and that is they do sell. There are several sub-genres of romance such as historical, fantasy, paranormal, and there are the newly popular erotica romances. These are just to name a few of the sub-genres.

This month I would like to spend a little bit of time studying and posting up blog posts about the romance genre. The reason for this is that I am finding more and more authors that are new to the writing game that have a desire to write romance. This is also a perfect time to look at some of the works that are written in the romance genre and the already published authors of such works.

I must admit that I have a few romance novels, that I would like to re-engage with and so far I must admit that I have done little reading this year and I need to get back into reading. So part of my goal this month is to read a bit more than what I have been doing in the past but to also write reviews on some of what I read as well.

So here is my list of goals this month:

  • Read some more
  • Talk about the romance genre
  • Work on The Raven Prophecy some more
  • Work on Ravages of Time some more
  • Start re-working The Zodiac Tower
  • Publish some work this month

Motivation for Writers and their Writing

As we think about our writing goals for the new year, one thing that needs to be kept in mind is our motivation for writing. There are lots of different motivations that we can have as writers such as it has been our dream to be a writer/author, to have the ability to tell stories, to be published, or to make our dreams come true through our writing. No matter what our motivation is we need to keep it in mind. Granted, we can have the motivation to make money from our writing and a lot of people will tell you that there is no money in it, and then you ask yourself why write then? The answer is that you have a dream to write and to tell stories.

My biggest motivation for writing is the desire to tell stories, but to also help others with the world of writing. As I have mentioned in the past on this blog, we are living in the golden age of self-publishing, which means that there are many avenues that you can get your work out into the world. But while there is an abundance of self-published books out there, which have shed a black light on self-publishing for these are works that have not been edited or gone through with a fine tooth comb, there are those out there that have been edited. But once we have that motivation engrained in us then we have that dream of someone finding and reading our book/story that we have taken the time to write.

I feel that once we have that single thread of motivation in us, then there should be nothing that should stop us from doing what we desire for we will find a way to make what we want a reality. Let me give you a great example, I had the biggest motivation that I wanted a space for writing. I wanted to build a she-shed in my backyard so that I could have a space to write. But then when that was not quite in the works, I set up a spot in the living room, the problem with that was that it was too noisy and sometimes the television was a distraction. But then when space opened up in the basement, I took it and made it my own. I cleaned it up, and I set up my writing space. Is it totally what my dreamed space looked like in my mind, not quite but for what I needed and wanted it has done well so far. Granted, that motivation has been completed, but the next one has been, even before I wanted a writing space, for me to start or at the very least work on my novel, The Raven Prophecy. Granted, I was motivated last year to finish the first 100 pages, and I completed that goal. My goal and motivation this year is to finish a completed first draft of the Raven Prophecy.

Motivation gives us a drive that we need to fulfill. A desire that we never want to give up. A dream that we keep going back to over and over again. A goal that helps to set us on fire so that we make it a reality. An inspiration that lets us know that anything is possible in this world.
